Sail Date: Aug 2005

Returned from the sailing on the Pride on August 28, 2005 with plenty to discuss regarding my trip. This was the 17th cruise that my wife and I have taken and although I am far from an expert, I do feel that I am qualified to give some knowledgeable insights to this ship and cruise.

I was a bit leery after reading several of the previous reviews on this message board as well as several others. It appeared that people either loved this cruise or hated this cruise. Here is my review.

We traveled as a party of 8 which included my parents (both 84 years young), my father-in-law and his companion (about the same age) and our best friends who were to experience their first cruise. We arrived in Long Beach around 12 in the afternoon and were actually in our cabin within 45 minutes. Having been sufficiently warned about the art and sculptures on the ship, I was prepared for something a little less than pornography. Come on people who warned us, this was art and just that art.
