This was our first cruise. My husband, myself and our 14 year old daughter went on the Infinity to Alaska, concierge class. It was utterly fantastic, from skipping past most of the line, champagne and hors d'oeuvres in the room, a beautiful balcony, all the benefits of Concierge Class.

Our daughter happened on a very full cruise for teenagers, there were over 150 of them. The teen program occupied most of her nights with dances, Karaoke, movies, etc. They also had a music club room and a separate lounge for the kids. We actually got used to her staying out until 2 or 3 in the AM! Before you think we are crazy, it is very safe and actually- where are they going to go- we are on the water? She has made friends from all around the world and I could not be happier.

Now on to the adult portion. Food was great- except for the Italian- needs work. Everything else was delicious. We ate all nights in the dining room, except for the one night when we did the USS United States. Dinners were excellent and the formal nights were fun. Most guys wore suits, although we did see a number of tuxedos. The United States was exceptional. It is the same menu as M. Roux's restaurant in London and it was beyond belief. The $30 pp charge was miniscule considering the service and the food. You would probably pay 100-200 pp in the restaurant for the six course meal and incredible service. Make your reservations when you get on the ship. Dinner takes 2.5 hours so they fill up fast. Try to do it on a night when you are not in port so you have time to get ready and enjoy it. The breakfast buffet was our choice in the mornings since they have a large selection, plus an omelette and a waffle bar. The spa was excellent although I would not do a massage there again. I have gotten much better massages in many other places.
