I'm just back from a week on Carnival's Valor. I am tired but I wanted to write while everything was fresh on my mind. Plus I've been in withdrawal from the computer! I know how desperate I was for opinions and advice before we sailed so I'll pass on my experience. If anyone has a question please ask. I sailed with my husband, daughter 18, 2 sons 22 and 14 and my son's friend who is also 22.

We spent the night before the cruise in Miami at the Embassy Suites. They picked us up at the airport and we paid $8 pp the next morning for a shuttle to the port. Once outside Embassy other shuttles yelled $25 to take all 6 of us. Maybe we could have gone cheaper?

Embarkation: We left the Embassy about 11:00 a.m. and headed for the port. There was a huge traffic jam around the port. It took about 30 min to get there. Once inside we stood in a line for an hour and 15 or 20 min. I don't think they let anyone in until 12:30. There was a HUGE line behind us. Once in everything was smooth. Lunch was waiting and our cabin was ready in an hour.
