I realized when I got off the ship and received smiling, thoughtful, concerned service from a hot dog vendor that I had just spend a week with some real unhappy, careless and unconcerned cruise staff.
Three waiters or waitresses showed some ability to chat and show interest in the cruisers or their job. Many times I waited 10 plus minutes for service in a bar.
The dining staff was a joke. The language barriers are beyond belief. You could not communicate needs because they ha no idea what you were saying and this type of food and dining was so foreign to them. Then there was the less than mediocre food. Never was a dish fresh, hot and wonderful. The recipes were dry and bland or overcooked.
