We joined the Thomson Majesty on February 2nd in Gran Canaria. Our cabin was inside on Deck 3 towards the stern. The cabin was bright, clean and totally adequate for its purpose. There was no excessive noise or vibration and the cabin stewards were hard working in the back ground and cannot be faulted. All meals were hot, varied, tasty and served with a smile. The entertainment team in the Jubilee lounge were fantastic and very professional The shows were exceptional and possibly the best we have seen on any of the variety of ships that we have travelled on. The violinist and pianist duo in the Royal Observatory were good although not very warm in the bar due to the air con. We were not enthralled by the trio in the Firework lounge or pianist in the Rendezvous. Muzzic Unlimited are to be highly recommended.

We had a great time on the cruise, meeting lots of friendly and interesting people. We did the Canarian Flavours cruise and recommend the Caldera trip on La Palma and El Cedro Forest hike in La Gomera. We also did an independant levada walk on Madeira, booking through Madeira Explorers which we can highly recommend.

All in all we had a fantastic week and cannot fault the ship and all its crew members. This makes it all the sadder regarding the tragic accident that occurred the day after we left the ship, our hearts go out to the passengers, but most of all, the crew and families of those affected.
