This was our 16th cruise and our second 5 day cruise on the Carnival Triumph. We are both in our 60's and love to travel. We drove from Northwest Arkansas to Texas City and stayed two nights at the Hampton Inn. This was our third time to stay there. It is less expensive than staying on Galveston and only 10 miles away. We spent one day exploring Galveston taking a tour of the historic areas, seeing the Aquarium Pyramid at Moody Gardens, eating at Landry's and just sitting on the seawall staring at the gulf.

We boarded Triumph on 2/2/13 and were excited to see our first aft balcony cabin #8435. This cabin was the highlight of our cruise. The balcony was extra large and had 4 chairs and 2 tables. Being above the wake of the ship was awesome.

We had been to Progreso before but had gone to Chichen Itza which is a great excursion. This time we decided to explore the town. We took the double-decker bus tour which was interesting but returned to the ship when it was over as we had no desire to walk around town.

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin 8N

Cabin 8435 - aft balcony is a wonderful cabin. The balcony is large with 4 chairs and 2 tables. Great views of the wake and the scenery. Good location, up one staircase to lido deck. Quiet location. Cabin appeared to have been refurbished. Carpet looked new.
