there were 7 ships in port. we decided to avoid the crowds. we got a cab for 25/pp to an old resort at Buccano beach. it had a nice restaurant and clean bathrooms, a pool too. our fee included the pool. beach, snorkel equipment chairs and umbrellas. beer was $16 a bucket. nachos and tacos were good too.it was very pretty here, sand was a bit on the rocky side. free tequila tasting too.para sailing was available for 60/pp cash jet skis available after our driver returned for us we went to the shops near port. there was Sr Frogs there, we had a drink and headed back to the ship

Cozumel

raining today. they sell rain covers on the ship for 3$. i should have bought them! it wasn't too bad, just drizzly and misty.we had to wait in the lounge before we could tender off the ship (5 in port today) we were almost an hour late getting started on our tour. we took the Mayan ruin river wallace tour. it was nice, the kids really enjoyed it. 90 min bus ride was fun, our tour guide was entertaining. we had about an hour at the ruins. some of our group climbed them (their legs were really sore the next day) there were local crafters there with beautiful wood carvings. i bought a very large bowl. i paid about 50 for it. i saw similar items in town at a store for much much more.we then took the bus to a local resort and had lunch. it was 8.00 and very good. then we headed to a boat to ride the river back. this is where we needed the rain overs. they sold them on the boat for 2 but took cash only and she could not break a 50 so we went with out. the river ride was an hour. we saw iguanas, monkeys, many different birds, a dolphin and manatee. we did not have anytime to shop, we just made it back for the last tender.

Belize City

raining again!! we shopped in the rain. shops were very crowded. at the top of the hill past the shops there were some local crafters. also a place you could zip line. it stayed cloudy but stopped raining. we walked down to the beach. kids played in the water. sand was nice! water not too cold. restaurants near. we had pina coladas chips and salsa.you don't need to pay for this beach. its a 5 min walk from the ship. they do charge 10.00 for the chairs but no one every collected from us ;)had to be back on the ship at 2pmlast time we were her e we did the dolphin encounter and it was awesome!!

Roatan

only 2 ships in today!! not too crowded. we took a taxi for 5/pp to 7 mile beach. our driver informed us that it is a public beach and they cannot charge you to use them!! so don't pay.we were dropped off at an area that had a bar. we rented chairs for 5/each. white sand, clear water, fish. very nice. we got buckets of beer.too windy to para sail so we went on a banana boat. it was 15/pp it was a lot of fun.driver came back and picked us up an took us back to port. did some shopping and tendered back to the ship.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

we were in 4197 very quiet, slept creat. had an obstructed view but not too bad. we have been on higher levels with balconies and it was always a lot louder up there.

we went off season so there were not too many kids on board, which was nice (we had 5 with us) some cruises in the past have a lot of kids and they run all over the ship, loud and obnoxious.we went to breakfast in the dining room at 0800 and then waited to get off the ship.
