We are experienced cruisers and have been on many cruises all over the world. We wanted to take a cruise on a true mega ship and we choose the Independence of the Seas. We were not disappointed.

Embarkation.

We stayed overnight near the port and went over at 11:30 as the ship was starting to board. It took a while for the taxi to make it into port. The ship is berthed in number 29 which is a bit out and under somewhat undercapacitied for taxi drop off.
