We started with a few days on the Gold Coast to do the theme parks to make the trip more exciting for the teenagers and ended up that the best part was the cruise! We found the ship easy to navigate from day 1. We had three rooms - travelling with the teenagers in the inside cabin (18, 16 & 14 yr old boys) and balcony room for us and also the grandparents. All very convenient. We had great start with our bags already being at our rooms when we arrived at our cabins. We settled in and then headed to Horizon Court for lunch. We didn't know what to expect but the food was better than expected and there was plenty of it and the staff where fantastic to help us get settled in before we even sailed. The view from the top when leaving Brisbane was great. It was hot and summery as expected and we enjoyed with a cold drink to set the mood. Our balcony room (and the boys room) was clean and always kept tidy by our cabin steward with clean sheets and towels always being refreshed. The room was more that adequate and the balcony although great for two people was able to fit five - when standing. The dining room was definitely the best when it came to great food. Every night was a different menu and always fresh and tasty food, we didn't experience a bad meal there. Our waiters where always pleasant and happy to see us and even hear about our day. They would know what we liked to drink and would recommend the meals each night. The teen club was great for our 16 yr old and he has been able to make friends with others from around Australia. We hardly ever saw him! The pizza restaurant was excellent and we did try the steakhouse one night which did not disappoint. Overall as our first cruise experience we thoroughly enjoyed it and would not hesitate to do another cruise in the near future - our children didn't want to get off this cruise.

Great family holiday with teenagers.

Cabin Review

Balcony
Cabin BC
The TV being on the desk was a problem and if this was wall mounted would give extra desk space.
