This was cruise #7 for me and #8 for my husband, first time to Alaska, fourth time on RCCL. First time with a junior suite and a balcony.

Positive: Captain George was wonderful. When we were travelling through areas of sea life (whales, etc), he would slow the ship. We had wonderful weather every day except at Icy Straight Point. When we left port, Captain George announced that he was going to compensate for the bad weather and took us to a place known for sea life. There were found humpback whales, orcas, sea lions, and sea otters. He even turned the ship 360 degrees so the port and starboard sides could enjoy a photo opportunity. A humpback whale surfaced just below our balcony!! Save your money and don't take a whale watching shore excursion, we found more sea life and photo opportunities with Captain George on our ship!!

Positive: The Skagway helicopter tour of the Denver Glacier and dogsledding was an adventure of a lifetime, well worth the money.
