EOTS is a terrific ship for families and couples alike. Service is excellent. There are 3 pool areas, and the pool for children is on a different deck than the 2 for adults, one of which is adults only. There is an ice-skating rink, which offers open skating at different times during the day, as well as a wonderful ice show. The Royal Promenade is an exciting central-- shopping, snacking, drinking, meeting-- area which extends down the center of the ship. The food in the Windjammer and the main dining rooms is OK. The casino is excellent and the shows are very good.

However, the ship is in very poor condition except in the public areas. We had 4 cabins for our family ranging from superior balcony, to small insides. They all need updating: ancient TVs, carpets stained, upholstery frayed, furniture chipped, balcony furniture peeling, etc. In addition, RCCL seems to have cut out many amenities which they had in the past, such as chocolate on your pillow, monogrammed writing pads and cup covers and napkins, and no daily newspaper in any language.

We had a wonderful family cruise, but having been on many newer ships, we missed these extras on RCCL's EOTS.
