First, we had a GREAT cabin and wonderful location. There it stopped. When we got on board we tried to find where to review and buy a wine package for dinner. We were sent around and back again. Seems none of their employees, INCLUDING the front desk , could answer this simple question. Also, we always eat at the late seating and large tables. The dinning room food was quite a disappointment and far below previous HAL meals. Due to slow service, it took forever to finish a dinner. It seems they have reduced the number of servers. Some people changed dining reservations as they were missing the late night entertainment. Why they wanted to go see the crew sing and perform is beyond me.. Very poor entertainment on all levels.. Next we bought the Night at Le Cirque. While the food was excellent, the service was poor, very poor. If Le Cirque knew the level of service they are providing, they might withdraw their name... The ship was not decorated (Christmas cruise) as in the past.. We used the valet parking at the HAL terminal and when we arrived they only had two people trying to serve 1,200+ people, a lot who chose valet parking. The other on-board activities that we WOULD recommend are the wine tastings.

Great cabin and LOCATION !! HAL has larger cabins and a few feet does make a difference. Also, we love Holland as it is the only cruise line where I have found tubs in the lower priced cabins. However, they have the liquid shampoo and soap dispensers and have mounted them up by the shower head. Useless to a tub enthusiast like myself. Additionally, they provided only two towels and wash cloths for two people. Sometimes you need more.. And only one small bar of soap for the 7 days...
