If you are taking this cruise, you need to pack Lysol, Clorox wipes, Ant & Roach spray, and some type of cleaner with bleach. I am not a clean freak nor do I have fetishes. However, it is unacceptable to have a room with a restroom that smells of urine, excrement, mold and mildew. The balcony had straws from the last guests. The carpet was gamey and it seemed unsanitary to walk on in bare feet. There were hairs from the prior guests on the desk and in the drawers where guests store their clothing. One of the members of our party on the same deck found a dead roach in her bed. The housekeeping staff was upset with her because she stripped the bed and demanded new bedding. They expected her to keep the same mattress pad. One member of our party -- one level down had his air conditioner break and flood the cabin. Housekeeping mopped up most of the water, laid towels down on the carpet, gave them a box fan and let them suffer for two days with no AC. Two other members of our party had their housekeepers reclean their rooms upon their arrival. That did not help the stench in the bathrooms.

I wish I could say that the food was just marginal. But, you had to inspect anything that you got off the buffet for hair, etc.. The first morning, I was dining with a number of ladies and one discovered hair on her fruit. It was not hers. She was a blond and it was dark brown. You may wish to take plastic silverware with you because their dishwashers do not properly clean the silverware.

There was a single bright spot on staff. Kristen, in the golf shop was charming and professional. She fixed our excursions that the NCL excursion operators booked incorrectly. She answered questions, provided suggestions and was always helpful. At least 50% of our total group of 700+ people had problems with the excursions that NCL booked. Everyone with problems that we spoke to, we directed to her. Certainly, she deserves to work with a more professional group. Read more
