Jamaica - Montego Bay - what a huge disappointment. People dirty, loud and rude. Water and beach "okay". That night two of us got sick - stomach problems. Thought it was food poisoining. No one got off in Grand Cayman because two of us were ill and others did not want to leave us behind. All had a wonderful day in Cozumel. That night two more got sick - now realize not food poisoning from Jamaica. At certain times during the cruise, all you could small was a "bad sewer smell" on different parts of the ship. We overhead others on ship talking about some in their party being ill. Asked cabin steward and he said (as instructed I am sure) "seasick". When we asked steward from some sanitizing spray for our cabins, such as Lysol, he said they did not have anything like that. AFter getting back home, some friends of our (8 in the party) who has taken this cruise two weeks before us said the same thing happened to them and others on their cruise. Apparently there is a "virus" on the ship that has not been addressed.

Food was mediocre at best. Buffet lines were not unbearably long, but at some times there was literally no line open (i.e. 4 in the afternoon) and all you could get was a slice of pizza or a deli sandwich. For such a large ship, this is ridiculous, and we have always been able to find a buffet line open on a Carnival cruise.

We never used the formal dining room and when we went to guest services to change the automatic add on tipping, we were treated like "second class" citizens because we wanted to give our own tips. We saw no need to give huge tips to maitre de and dining room staff when we did not utilize. The other tips we gave were more than the suggested amounts (alternative services and cabin stewards).
