We took this cruise over New Years to celebrate my 50th birthday with friends from Germany who met up with us in Miami.
Since Carnival didn't offer the flight package for this cruise (not sure why) we booked our own flights and hotel for this trip. We stayed at the Best Western Premier near the Miami airport and took the shuttle to the port. We arrived around noon and where on ship by 1.00..no waiting at all..everything went very smooth.
We had 3 rooms with balcony side by side on the Lido Deck which was a great location and it was very quiet. Our room steward Ida was excellent..trying to pronounce our German first names correctly and he made sure that the "Fun Times" were delivered in German every day..nice touch.he also got me a birthday card.

Great location on the lido deck forward..easy to get to the sun deck and buffets..was very quiet..was a bit worried about the noise coming from the lido deck but didn't hear anything..good closet space.
