Sail Date: Dec 2012
Cabin: Concierge Class 2

Celebrity Solstice is a lovely ship with many dining options and many different areas to retreat to.

Boarding was delayed ( possibly due to NOROVIRUS on board ) wait time was up to 2 1/2 hours. We were immediately met with hand sterilisation as soon as we boarded along with a letter explaining that NOROVIRUS was on the previous cruise.

Information from passengers on board the ship for 2 months was that the virus was on board prior to the Barcelona cruise, then Barcelona to Singapore, then Singapore to Sydney, then Sydney to New Zealand return. We both got Gastro and my partner also go a severe cold (bronchitis) coughing for 14 days. Cleaning was stepped up on board and an announcement was made by the Cruise Director regarding Gastro with advice to increase hand washing. Also lots of people with heavy coughing on board. Captain's Club host mentioned that the ship was going to have a HIGH LEVEL CLEAN in Sydney (23rd December, 2012)

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

CABIN 1227 - CONCIERGE CLASS

Slightly small cabin with limited closet space. Very convenient location next to the Elevators and quiet location. Shower has a door on it instead of curtain which is desirable.

Not sure if Concierge Class was worth the extra money. Beds were very comfortable.
