My husband and I boarded the M/S Regatta in Miami, which went very smoothly --- very well organized, I must say. The ship was very clean, well appointed, comfortable, smelled good, and just lovely all around. Our cabin was very clean, lots of hangers in closets, lots of drawers for storage (surprised me!), the bed was spotless and very comfortable, small love-seat also comfortable, and the teak balcony was awesome. Clean drinking glasses, fresh ice-cubes, and plenty of bottled water at all times. Bathroom tight but alright ... shower had good water pressure, nice shampoo and toiletries, the towels were clean as clean can be and smelled good (thank God!), and all very clean. Now let's focus on the delicious, excellent, appealing food ... whether it was the 6 AM coffee and pastries up in "HORIZONS", or the Breakfasts in the "GRAND DINING ROOM" or the "TERRACE CAFE", everything was freshly baked, cooked just for you, freshly prepared. This was the same throughout the day ... breakfast, lunch or dinner. The "snacks" and milkshakes at "Waves Grill" were outstanding too. Every single dining experience was a beautiful, glorious feast. The Enrichment Seminars were very informative and well prepared by the speakers; Culinary Exhibitions were most interesting; and the evening entertainment was lighthearted and nice also.
We felt safe on the ship at all times, as well as off the ship during the Shore Excursions. I would say some of the Shore Excursions could use a little tweaking, e.g., not so much "free-time" to go shopping and such, and making sure the A/C works on all buses, but mostly quite well organized and interesting. All the Staff/Crew was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. They couldn't do enough to help Guests in every way. Some of the dress code some of the Guests chose to wear was questionable (country club casual??), but then again ... oh, well. None was offensive. Disembarking in Los Angeles went just as flawlessly as embarking in Miami. Obviously, this was not their first Rodeo. Good Job and Well Done, Regatta! We look forward to sailing with you again!
