My wife and I sailed 12/8 - 12/13 out of Ft Lauderdale to Belize and Cozumel. We arrived at the port at 11:15am and were on board at 12:30pm. Went immediately to the Windjammer and despite the crowd, were able to find a table aft. Plentiful selection of food and we found it to be very good. We then went down to deck 7 and found our cabin (7362) ready with the luggage already there. The room was very nice and balcony had plenty of room for the 2 chairs and small table....would have been nice if we had a lounger out there. Our cabin steward (forgot her name) was super....she made herself available throughout our cruise always making sure we had fresh ice. We had towel animals 2 of the 5 nights (what happened to every night?).

We opted for early dinner seating (6pm) and were assigned table 298 on deck 3 of the MDR. We had a table for 6 and found our dining "mates" to be very pleasant and good company. Overall, the menu selection and quality was good but down a notch from previous cruises. We ate at Choppes Grill on formal night and we both had the 10oz fillet which was outstanding!!! Well worth the $30 per. We visited Johnny Rockets for lunch on the last sea day and found it to be very good despite the $5 surcharge plus another $5 for the milkshake per person. The waiters performed a line dance while we were there helping to make this a fun place to eat.

We did the River Wallace and Altun Ha Mayan Ruins excursion (booked through the ship) in Belize. It was long and we made it back on the 2nd to last tender. While it was a very warm day, the tour was excellent and highly recommended. On the river portion we saw dolphins, crocs, iguanas, and a troupe of howler monkeys but they were very difficult to see from a distance. We ate lunch at the Black Orchid Resort - - black bean and rice and baked chicken which was OK. The diet coke really hit the spot. We then were bussed to Altun Ha Mayan Ruins where they allowed us to climb two of the temples. Got some great pics from on top. Amazing...2200 years old! In Cozumel we caught a cab for $7 to Los Cinco Soles and did some shopping with lunch at Ponchos Backyard.....very good. Be sure to get your coupon for a free margarita off their web site.
