We booked this cruise on the July 4th sale that RCI has every year thru an Internet travel agent that we use regularly for our cruises. We flew to Fort Lauderdale via BWI on Dec 3, easy flight cruise port is 10 minutes away. Dropped our luggage at ship and went into ship check-in building. This was by far the fastest check in we ever have experienced. We were on our way to the ship in 5 minutes flat - wow. The first impression of the Vision was super clean. The crew was very helpful directing you to where you needed to go. We had late lunch in the Windjammer Buffet and then on to our rooms. The rooms were very clean but very small for an ocean view,at 154 sq ft. It is the same size as inside rooms but with a window. There is no no refrigerator - old tv with a very small screen - lumpy beds - lousy pillows - very heavy bed covers. This was torture to have these heavy covers on me. The wood edges on the desk and chairs were worn excessively. Now for the good, The crew was the best i have met on our many cruises. They could not do enough for you. The captain was very visible every day and would answer every question you might have.

This was true for every officer I saw on the ship. I have never seen a ship kept so clean, the bathrooms were spotless, excellent. Now for the food. For the most part of our cruise we ate between the Windjammer Buffet and the main dining room. The Windjammer was run very efficiently, Marco the manager did an excellent job of keeping things moving right along, well run with everyone smiling saying HI. My compliments to the Windjammer staffthe main dinning room was also a smooth operation. our waiter Uri Semenov from the Ukraine was the best waiter we have ever had and Andrea, the assistant waiter, kept everything filled up, what a team.every meal out head waiter stopped by to ask if everything was oik. there was variety of food as usual for you to try. i'm a meat and potatoes person my self but my wife and the couple we traveled with liked it so they give their stamp of approval on it. the first couple of days at sea was rough because the waves were bumping us around, this ship has no stabilizers, maybe in the upcoming refit it will get some.shows were ok plus they showed movies every day.they do more than a good job on this ship they do an excellent job overall we really like the vision of the seas, they are going in for a refit soon so maybe they will be able to make it even better

Cabin Review
