Celebrity Century Cruise Review by phesoj
- Sail Date: November 2012
- Destination: Hawaii
- Cabin Type: Inside Stateroom
Yes! the ship is older but again well maintained and had an older use of wood decor that was very pleasing.
Were there short comings but the service from the crew was superb starting with the Captain. We saw him often and he was very approachable, friendly and concerned with our well being. This friendy and concerned attitude was shared by the rest of the crew. Kudos to the Elite Hostess Galyna ,she was the best ever. Our cabin steward Lalaine was great. Volkan the waiter at the Elite breakfast was outstanding. Our Asisstant waiter Maris in the MDR was also terrific I even learned a little Croatian from her. With service like this it had to be one of our best cruises.
The inside cabin we had was just fine and just what we wanted. We did have problems with the shower and the TV remote but these were resolved very quickly. The food in the MDR was on the whole good and serviced very well. There were several evenings like the Veal Chop when the meal was outstanding. They even made the lobster very well. The buffet was I thought ordinary except for the STIR FRY STATION(HAD SEVERAL LUNCHES HERE). I was surprised be the quality of the pizza station especially the calzones.
The Theater shows were only fair overall. Of the production shows only 2 of the 3 were good. The individual performers were only fair
The Hawaiian lectures by Sid Quintal were great and even better was the huls after each leature by Terrmati was superb.
We were also thankful for the Movie theater offerings during the day.
The ports were all very good. We are former residents of Kauai and were sorry this cruise did not go there.
Yes a wonderful cruise on the century and would go with her again anytime
