We are a long time cruisers and at the Elite status with Celebrity. We hate to fly resident so it was a pleasure to take the Coaster to San Diego and walk to the ship. A short walk to the pier followed by a very organized boarding to our welcoming Champaign. Waiting for the cabins to be readyed the buffet was our first stop and what a surprise. It had been remodeled and the new decor looked great. Loved the removal of the partician seperating the serving lines and the eating areas. It made such sense.

Yes! the ship is older but again well maintained and had an older use of wood decor that was very pleasing.

Were there short comings but the service from the crew was superb starting with the Captain. We saw him often and he was very approachable, friendly and concerned with our well being. This friendy and concerned attitude was shared by the rest of the crew. Kudos to the Elite Hostess Galyna ,she was the best ever. Our cabin steward Lalaine was great. Volkan the waiter at the Elite breakfast was outstanding. Our Asisstant waiter Maris in the MDR was also terrific I even learned a little Croatian from her. With service like this it had to be one of our best cruises.
