Having just come off the Adventure of the Seas, there were alot of great things about the ship and just a few not so great things.
The greatest was the crew. They really go above and beyond to make your experience a good one and to get to know you. Marcio in the Sports area is excellent and always has a smile for everybody. The dining room crew was fantantic to the children at our table and made sure they had a great time when they came to dinner by showing them how to make animals out of napkins or bring them around the dining room during the waiter dances.
The ship is starting to show wear but is kept extremely clean.
The two main problem we had with the ship was the embarkation where we waiting from 1:00-3:30pm in line. RCCL needs to find something to expidate this since they know there will be 4500 people checking in during the 5 hour period and keeping them standing in line is not acceptable. The other problem is beyond their control. Since this ship left out of San Juan, the ship was 75-80% Puerto Rican passengers who spoke only Spanish. The elevators would be completely full and would stop at a floor and 3 more Puerto Ricans would try to jam on, Americans and Europeans would wait until the next elevator. This happened everyday of our cruise.
The hallway was just a bit noisy but I would chose this cabin again due to its central location. The balcony is on the bump so it has a great view.
Went to Cockleshells Beach for a Beach Day. Nice beach with a good view of Nevis. A bit rocky to get into the water so water shoes would be nice. good snorkeling so bring your snorkel gear. Saw 6 lobsters about 30 yards from shore. You can also rent horses to ride if interested. Good beach bar for drinks and lunch. There are ladies on the beach giving aloe massages for $40 for 30 min. You can offer $25 for 30 min and they will accept.
The ride is about 20 minutes from the port at $7pp each way.
Great excursion. The crew on the sail boat really like their jobs and it shows. Would recommend to anybodyView All 92 Turtle Swim Reviews
Take a taxi about 15 min from port to Moomba Beach. We took the afternoon trip which includes 2 snorkel sites (one wreck and one reef) then a stop for the rope swing. Open bar. Fun trip for Adults and kids alikeView All 6 Masted Sailing Ship Reviews
Although we loved swimming with the dolphins, the trainers was boarding on rude. I was trying to translate for an older couple from English into French and the crew member said they were running late and there was no time to stop her 5 minute safety speech so I can translate. Then she gave me a dirty look. I then asked her, " Don't you want everybody safe, maybe we can take an extra 15 seconds so they can understand too". The trainer was rude to me the rest of the time. It is a fun excursion but everybody gets to do exactly the same thing one time and one time only, nothing spontaneous it is very choreographed which took some of the fun out of it. I would recommend a Dolphin swim, but maybe not here or maybe not with the trainers we had.View All 12 Dolphin Swim Reviews
