Celebrity Eclipse Cruise Review by LTC46LTT
- Sail Date: November 2012
- Destination: Eastern Caribbean
- Cabin Type: Deluxe Veranda
The food at the buffet for breakfast and lunch was always the same and never hot. Our first seating dining was close to deplorable with each night's dinner selection getting worse from the previous ones. What has happened to the reputation Celebrity had for years for their 5 star dining??? It is now barely a 2 star!!
The entertainment was much more varied and enjoyable on the Eclipse than the Equinox and is one of the few pluses on this cruise. Cabins were clean and comfortable but we think the public rooms are bland and boring for such new ships. We agree with other reviews of the Eclipse that the debarkation was painful.
The long lines to get off the ship and thru customs/luggage retrieval were awful and we must have had to walk over a mile from the ship thru all of this. With many elderly passengers on this ship who were using walkers and wheelchairs, we can't imagine how they survived thru this process!

San JuanArrival in San Juan at 3 pm doesn't make sense, it should be earlier in the day so passengers can enjoy more time there if they want.View All 3,097 San Juan Cruise Port Reviews

St. KittsWe opted to take a taxi to the Marriott St. Kitts to use their facilities. We didn't know if would cost $35/person which included towel, chair, umbrella, but glad we saw the property. St. Kitts has a nice little shopping area by the ship and we would like to return there for a longer stay.View All 1,405 St. Kitts Cruise Port Reviews

St. MaartenHaving been to St. Maarten many times, we opted to go to Divi Little Bay Resort and use the beach and pool there. Very nice setting at the end of Front St. and easy to get to by taxi ($8-10 each way).View All 4,135 St. Maarten Cruise Port Reviews

St. ThomasWe love St. Thomas and not only like to cruise there but also like to stay for extended times. There is so much to do between there and St. John, you could never get bored. Charlotte Amalie can get very crowded, especially when there are several large ships in port which can be overwhelming.View All 4,106 St. Thomas Cruise Port Reviews
