Cruise Number H238 - Hawaii Tahiti - 28 Day - Worst Cruise

Sail Date: October 2012
Destination: South Pacific
Embarkation: Los Angeles
This is my second cruise on the Sapphire Princess and Princess can be blamed for the declining food quality and entertainment.

The food quality was extremely poor, in fact I lost weight on the cruise.

The dining room service was very slow. If we started at 5:30 we never got out for the 7 PM early show. So we began to eat in the Horizon Court which seemed to vary as to the quality of the food, although it was slightly better.

Entertainment was highly questionable. The production shows by the Sapphire Singers and Dancers were however excellent. Just wish they had more over the 28 day period as well as more comedians. Individual singers, piano players and violists are not major shows.

The Scholarship at Sea programs were excellent.

Not Princess fault was the amount of rude people. I was pushed with a cane and told to get "out of the way sonny". Little old ladies are nasty. I had two problems and my wife had two as well. Never before have we run More into this degree of rudeness.

Was very disturbed to learn that an elite member who booked after us paid $1800 less got a better room. We booked with a major Internet agency. Less

Cabin review: IIC411

C411 is on Deck 10 and is away from the elevators. Very quiet.

Port and Shore Excursions

Tours here were excellent. Althogh short.

Pearl Harbor

Very moving. A must see if its your first time to Hawaii.

Waimea Bay

Excellent !

The Island of Bora Bora is not worth seeing. Very hot and humid with wood seats and no air conditioned buses. If this is your first time here form your own opinion. Take a private taxi. It will cost about the same. The taxis are not air conditioned but you will be more comfortable as you will be in a padded seat and can keep the window open. Moorea is absolutely lovely a must see. The buses were air conditioned with padded seats, in other words a normal bus. This is the vacation island for Tahiti. The City of Papayette where the airport is, is an old dirty city. Again it is not worth seeing but form your own opinion. Instead take the ferry across to Moorea, which is 12 miles off the main Island.
