This was our 4th cruise. We have cruised on Disney Wonder; Disney Dream; and Royal Carribbean Majesty of the Seas, and now Liberty. Liberty of the Seas was by far the best ship we have been on. Liberty of the Seas has the dreamworks experience on it which includes Shrek characters. If you have booked a Liberty cruise, make sure to reserve the dreamworks breakfast in the dining pre-cruise; I happened to find it before we left and was so glad that I did. It doesn't matter what age you are, it's fun to see the characters and have a nice breakfast... especially if you have kids. (We have a 12 yr old girl and she loved it.) Special note: If you don't have reservations, you can still have breakfast there but you (and your kids) will be turned away from the characters if you try to see them. We saw this happen many times, so please book early or once you get on board!! There is also a parade with Shrek and everyone (except we didn't see Donkey). This ship also has plenty to do if you aren't a dreamworks/ shrek fan. They have a boardwalk on deck 5 with Ben and Jerrys ice cream, lots of shops, bars, casino, Johnny Rocket's (you can eat all you want for $4.95 per person, excluding drinks). The main dining room was very good, and is beautifully decorated. Our cabin was good; no problems. However, a tip for those traveling with other family members. We were in room 3560. I traveled with my husband, daughter, and mother in law. Disney cabins have a bunk bed over the couch area. Royal does not I found out. Turns out we had 2 bunk beds over the 2 twins that converted into a queen. Now, mother in law couldn't obviously climb bunk beds, so we had to split beds and hubby slept in a bunk, daughter in bunk and mother in law and I separated the queen back into twin beds. Not the best arrangement, but it was ok. Would not book a room with more than 3 people again like that unless it was a suite.

Bingo is always fun. We left from FT Lauderdale and went to Belize and Cozumel Mexico. You tendered in at Belize, there was a shopping area, which we went to. However, it is not safe to walk around Belize City unless you take an excursion. We just shopped at the port area and then tendered back to the boat. We were not too impressed with Belize, not much to do and we weren't interested in the excursions. It was very hot and daughter got overheated. Cozumel was absolutely amazing. Our best port yet! We did take the excursion "Jungle Buggy and Snorkeling" and it was fantastic!! Best excursion ever! Guides were great. You get in a Polaris ATV 4 seater and drive to lighthouse and beach, then snorkel and drive to mayan ruin and drive back. Snorkeled with sea turtles and colorful fish. You do not have to be experienced snorkelers to do this. Hubby can't even swim very well, but everyone had on life jackets and they even helped our 12 yo daughter by pulling her out to the snorkel area and kept a good eye on her. They also have someone in a boat to help if needed. This was the most amazing experience, and one that we will recommend to everyone. It's $99/ person but well worth it.

Liberty of the Seas has phenomenal entertainment. There is an ice skating show (and an ice rink you can skate on if you choose), there is a show called "in the air or on the air" that reminds you of a cirque de solei show and it is fantastic as well. They had a comedy juggler, and things to do for everyone no matter what your age. There is so much to see and do... definitely book this ship Liberty.. she will not dissappoint! Happy Cruising!
