Was very impressed at how clean everything was and how everyone was urged to adhere to hygiene guidelines. Makes a difference - no gastro problems, tho someone brought a chest infection on board to share. Crew are all very polite and friendly and do their jobs well.
Lots to do.. wide selection of activities as well as an adequate (just!) library and games area. Also an adults only section as well as a children's adventure program. Food good.. I found formal dining too slow and not to my taste and was more than happy with selections available in Windjammer buffet. There was a lack of flavour in many of their mousses, very bland.. except one lemon cheesecake! Also cakes were nice but no strong flavours. Still did not stop me from trying everything!!!
Was irritated by constant (daily) advertising of alternative dining venues, use of spa, etc. Would assume those who are going to use them are already aware.
Shore excursions are very expensive and debatedly good value. Always private tour operators on the wharf, or can pre-book online or through the blog.
Went to CC's Meet and Mingle, a bit disappointing.. lots of pre-formed groups and no mingling!!
Very enjoyable and likely to try again.
Very quiet. Lots of mirrors which was good. Compact without seeming small.
Adelaide is a fine city and worth more than a day's stay. Both the Hills and Glenelg worth a visit.
Went for the "On your own" tour. Adequate. Startling at how city still affected by earthquake. Makes you appreciate a more stable home town. Bus trip from Akaroa to Christchurch worth the ride.
Excellent ride.. tho exorbitantly priced through Cruise Line. Even with $12 fare each way on shuttle is a better deal, and with time in Dunedin.View All 68 Taieri Gorge Railway Reviews
Actually was "Zealandia". Again, expensive, especially as we only had an hour there, when a least 2 hrs needed to see it all. Cable car, more a ratchet car.. no cables in view!..was disappointing. Very short ride and view only from top.View All 3 Kaiori Wildlife Sanctuary Reviews
