We cruised on the Summit last November and had a great experience, so we decided to cruise on the Summit this November, but on their other itinerary. The ship had been refurbished in January, but all I noticed was more Aqua Class rooms and some cosmetics to the ship.
The food on Celebrity ships is excellent. We mostly ate in the main dining room, but the Normandie Restaurant, a Celebrity specialty restaurant, was amazing. The service was exceptional, as were the dishes. I had a pork belly appetizer that was indescribably good. My wife loved the lobster entree that she got. It was prepared table side and it made for a nice presentation, too.
Most of the shows were very good. The comedian was not very funny, but the Broadway style shows were entertaining and the juggler/comedian was incredibly good. The cruise itinerary was my favorite so far. We visited St. Lucia, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Antigua, and Barbados. Barbados was a disappointment, but the others were exceptional. I think this was probably the friendliest crew that we have encountered, too. Everyone went out of their way to make sure that we were pampered. We are probably going to cruise Europe next year and I'll definitely look at doing another Celebrity cruise.
