This was supposed to be a leisurely trip through the St. Lawrence Seaway and then down the east coast with several stops on the East Coast. Instead we were never quite sure of where we were going next. Many passengers were disappointed that we did not get to stop at the scheduled stops, however, almost all took it in good spirits realizing that our safety in the face of super storm Sandy was paramount. The ships officers monitored conditions constantly and tried to get us to as many ports as possible. The shore excursion staff were faced with the task of arranging shore excursions in our new ports on very short notice (after the end of the cruise season for these ports). Almost the entire town of Saguenay, QE came out to see the ship since it was a Sunday. Corner Brook, NL was the other unscheduled (makeup) port. Both turned out to be nice stops.

The passengers seemed to take all the changes in stride and not let Sandy get the best of them. We had a rear-facing balcony for the first time and we loved it. The food was quite good and service was delightful. It appeared that most passengers were seasoned cruisers and were willing to "go with the flow"

Embarkation and disembarkation were quick and painless. We were on the ship and in our cabin in less than 30 minutes and disembarkation took about 45 minutes. Read more
