We began our European adventure with two precruise nights in Barcelona..one of our favorite cities. Embarkation was a breeze at around 1pm. We purchased 2 bottles of wine at the duty free shops prior to boarding the ship. No problems. The cabin was ready around 2pm. We had CC on deck 10. Our steward, Ronald and his assistant Rommel, were excellent. We are low-key cruisers. We don't ask for much; no turn down service; no extra anything. We enjoy spending time in our cabin relaxing when we are not enjoying the ports of call. Did not eat in the main dining room once during the cruise. We frequently ordered from the dining room dinner menu and had it delivered to our cabin. We also used room service for breakfast. Each time, our food was delivered prompt and hot! We enjoyed all of the ports of call; although we had previously toured several of them. Venice, Montenegro and Dubrovnik were the ports new to us this cruise. We toured all the ports on our own, except for the Cinque Terre excursion from Livorno. We also did a post-cruise tour to Montserrat, which was also excellent.

Although port intensive, we truly had a relaxing vacation. I can not comment on any of the shows on the ship, because we did not attend a single one! The staff was top notch; and the shore excursions were well organized. Highlights from the cruise included the sail-in/out of Venice; the 2:1 special on gelato (yum); the drink specials; the sail-in/out of Montenegro and Dubrovnik; and the wonderful staff. There were also several ports of call enrichment talks onboard that were very informative. We are Elite on Celebrity and we enjoyed the perks! The captain's club wine tasting was probably one of the best we have attended.

The negative were the slow internet connection, but this is pretty typical. Will we sail Celebrity again??? ABSOLUTELY
