We went to a lobster museum, the University of the Atlantic garden & through Acadia National Park so there was a few opportunities to walk around.
We had a nice day for it. This was a tender port so instead of walking around the cute little town we went back to the ship.

Bar Harbor

We drove around Portland a bit, stopped at the lighthouse for a while then headed to Kennebunkport which has some lovely homes & buildings. We had a couple of hours to spend there. I got a lobster roll from the Crab Shack who had won best one from "Food Wars". It was good but pricy at $16.95

Portland (Maine)

Quebec City is a beautiful old,charming piece of North America & the only walled city. We stayed at Auberge St Pierre in lower town the night after our cruise & really loved it for it's ambiance, location (walking distance to the ship) & food. The desk clerk was very helpful too. We booked a tour there that took us to Montmorency Falls, a chocolate place, a bread & maple butter place on Ile d'Orleans, then a copper business that prepared us for the fine work the owner had done on Ste Anne de Beaupre Basilica. This was a lovely tour that cost about $50.

The clerk at the hotel recommended a bistro which was Cafe le St Malo which was like being in Paris. The food & ambiance was very good.
There's a lot more to do in Quebec City but this was not our first time there.

Quebec City

We went to the cemetery where 100+ victims are buried & stayed there quite a while.
Next we went to the museum where we had a guided tour & some free time. Because we had time left our guide took us to the public garden which was really beautiful,assorted Dahlias were in bloom & ducks were diving in the stream.

This tour was pretty good but I was disappointed that our guide did not have a
"Boston Rob"accent. There was quite a bit of walking & standing around involved on this tour too. We did see some interesting places.

This was St Martins in Canada but it's a lovely place & I wanted to mention it. The guide was very good on this excursion & was dressed as an Acadian I suppose. We 1st went to the old covered Saint John Market then to St Martins which has 2 covered bridges, a nice harbour & a great place for chowder called the Caves, on a stony beach with a view of the sea caves.

This tour was in Sydney NS Canada actually.
It was a very interesting & beautiful place this museum. The drive there was lovely especially when the sun broke through shining on the lake & giving meaning to Bras d'Or.

Cabin 10105 was in a good location close to the mid ship elevators & was served by a great steward Rainhard. We never heard any noises so it was good for sleeping.

It's always nice to meet people from the roll call you've been chatting with before the cruise.The lobster on the return from Boston was really nice, a whole fresh one not just a tail.
