I booked this cruise for a birthday celebration. It didn't disappoint. We had spent 5 days in Budapest prior to boarding the boat which is a great way to start because it is a wonderful city with a European feel but distinctly different from others. We were surprised to find statues there of both George Washington and Ronald Reagan. Go there to find out why.

The River Beatrice is a beautiful boat with the best sun loungers on the river!. The quality of the furnishings, food and service was top and the staff were great. We were novice cruisers and really didn't know what to expect - but the video promotion on the Uni world website was pretty accurate. Due to a booking misunderstanding (travel agent) we had to upgrade to category 1 suite. It was costly but gorgeous and roomy with lots of cupboard space. We loved it. We also loved having a butler service but didn't really know what to do with it! However I am quite sure a slightly smaller category 2 or three room would be just as good. The category 5 have no picture window which is a must for a river cruise.

The included excursions were really good, with very knowledgeable and interesting guides. They were well organised and there was no rushing or crowding or feeling of being herded to and fro. It was a fabulous holiday and seemed longer that it was because of no unpacking and visiting different towns and cities.

Stateroom with French Balcony

Large closets in suites. Sumptuous bed and lovely treats for suite occupiers and perhaps others.Huge windows. Everything you need is provided including very nice toiletries.
