This was our first time on AMA Waterways and we came away convinced we'll sail with them again. The Amacello was well appointed; the rooms were very clean and comfortable with the French balconies a plus; staff was friendly, helpful and very service oriented. Our cabin stewardess had an artistic surprise waiting every evening when she did the turn down service.

Food was generous, tasty and often themed to the city we were visiting. The dining room staff and bar staff made the single seating dinners run like clockwork. Wine was often local, included in our plan and good to moderate quality.

Our Cruise Director, Rachel, was a dynamo and problem solver. She orchestrated multiple excursions daily and dealt with lock congestion and delays with humor and logistical skill.
