We have previously cruised with RCI and booked this cruise for the unusual itinerary of Iceland too.

Embarkation was swift: our cabin was ready, and the bags arrived shortly. There is acres of closet space which I felt could have been put to better use by increasing the cabin or bathroom size. The bathroom is tiny and the shower is cramped. The bed-size was enormous but the mattress was extremely uncomfortable,;this was remedied by having extra pillows and duvets which the cabin-steward willingly provided.

There were a number of negative experiences: briefly, toilets being 'blocked'; the quality of the food in Horizon cafe needs improving( much of it was barely warm, and not piping hot as expected);the waiting staff had this annoying habit of grabbing your plate and taking you to a table of their choosing;tea and coffee brought to your table when its much simpler to help yourself; on one particular day the kitchen went to great trouble to produce at least a dozen different Chocolate Desserts--for Breakfast!! (they never appeared again for lunch even though there were lots left untouched..what a waste);the menus at Horizon and Caribe were often different..so that you might miss a few dishes if you didn't spend 30 mins going round the cafe; vegetarian options were very limited;it must have the smallest library I have ever seen anywhere which was only open certain hours.

cabin C205 has a much larger balcony and is virtually un-overlooked.
