Celebrity Solstice Cruise Review by mm68
- Sail Date: July 2012
- Destination: Western Mediterranean
- Cabin Type: Deluxe Veranda
A brilliant Stateroom 8228. Lovely Balcony - not overlooked by anyone. Great uninterrupted views.
Dining was an amazing experience. Waiters fabulous. Professional at all times. Food was amazing in all restaurants.
Entertainment. Plenty of entertainment available to either take part in or not. If you want to relax you can or if you want to cram in as much activity you can. Something for everyone. The shows are great with two chances to see them each night. Something different every day.
Staff: All staff on board are great. Professional, fun, helpful - even the Senior Captains and the Captain got involved in activities.
Overall this was a fabulous holiday. For our first cruise it was perfect and will definitely sail again with Celebrity. Pure luxury!

CapriVery pretty place but very touristy. Again we did our own thing rather than ships excursion. Best way to see this Island is to take a boat trip around the island and stop off at deserted coves and beaches. Worth a visit.View All 41 Capri Cruise Port Reviews

Florence (Livorno)Easy to get a train to Florence and/or Pisa. We chose this option rather than the many excursions offered by Celebrity. Florence and Pisa are both worth visiting.View All 933 Florence (Livorno) Cruise Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)Docked in Civitaveccia and we made our own way by train to Rome. Very easy as station is very close to where the boat docks. Rome very busy and extremely hot in July. Loved it though - a great city and really worth a visit.View All 1,881 Rome (Civitavecchia) Cruise Port Reviews

Walking TourLovely place to stop. Beaches and small historic town. Brilliant tour guide on our walking tour. Well worth booking a tour guide. Took us to the palace. Another favourite stop on this brilliant cruise.View All 7,804 Walking Tour Reviews
VeniceGreat experience sailing into Venice. We docked overnight so had plenty of time to explore. Again we did out own thing rather than a planned excursion. A must see on a cruise!View All 1,233 Venice Cruise Port Reviews
