Sail Date: Jun 2012

Set sail from South Hampton,England on June 30 for a 14 day cruise to the Western Mediterranean.Embarkation went so smooth although we were prepared and also had suites.Upon arrival to the rooms we found them still dirty. Windows terrible, trash still in rooms hair on bathroom floor and even a dirty band aid sticking to the counter. We had 5 suites and 3 out of five were dirty. They corrected the problem and sent flowers. Also If you enjoy having a drink and a cigar on your balcony while sailing away from port, forget it.

We went to our dinner that night in the main dining room and found the food to be mediocre at best with a very limited menu. That alone was disappointing but our assigned waiter so bad that by day three when the Head Waiter made his rounds we unloaded on him. His name was Jose and the man really knew his job and how to rectify situations. He checked on us every night we chose to eat there (ate in speciality restaurants 4 nights). He watched our waiter from afar and sometimes waited on us himself. A real asset to RCL.

Everybody on board seemed to be very pleasant and happy with daily greetings and smiles with the exception of the Casino cashiers and some dealers.

Cabin Review

Suite very nice, great balcony but you need to be able to have a cigar with your drink while sailing away on your own balcony.
