We chose Pride of America because of the itinerary and not the cruiseline. it was our first time with Norwegian and definately the last. The flexible dining is a joke. Had to wait every night for at least 20 mins for a table and unless there are 5 or more people you cannot pre book a time. The service in the main dining rooms was very slow and every night the staff managed to get the food order wrong. The food itself was average at best and some nights poor. Was only ever luke warm probably because it had been sitting around waiting for the staff to serve it. Staff always looked miserable as if they didn't want to be there. There was very little conversation between staff and diners The cadillac diner was even worse. ENGLISH fish and chips was served with FRENCH fries and fish that was definately past its sell by date. Tuna sandwich was served with green MOULDY bread!! This was eventually compensated by a free meal in Jeffersons. Buffet was slightly better. Jeffersons was good.. equal to other cruiselines main dining room but with a $20 charge. We had alcohol in our cases as our cruise was just a small part of our 3 week vacation. This was taken from us till the end of the cruise. This we didn't mind but we had a bottle of bacardi that was opened pre cruise. This they took off us and poured away. Apparently homeland regulations!!!

Cruised 17 times before with other cruiselines and never had such poor service so much so that we withdrew the tips and just tipped the cabin steward who was excellent. The only good thing about this cruise was the itinerary.

Entertainment was as good as other cruises. Cabin was much smaller but balcony huge. Pools busy with uncontrolled children. Shops on board expensive. Drinks also expensive when 15% service charge and tax have been added.

Cabin Review

Large Balcony

cabin no 8518 small cabin. Not much space to move around with 2 people in. Balcony was huge but was covered so got very little sun.
