What a great time on board Thomson Spirit,The ship has improved having been on this ship 3 times,the food was great in both the lido and compass restaurants,and the staff very friendly,the food was 5star.Cabins very clean but in need of floor upgrade in toilet and shower.Very good value for the money.Shows were very good but seat hogging always a problem,very selfish people.places visited out of this world,so what is wrong with Thomson Spirit.Well its becoming like Butlins on water

there is little space to find a quite corner to read,as they play stupid games in the reading room,there always something going on at the pool side,if you want a quite cruise forget this one.Having experienced other cruise lines,the dress code in the compass restaurant leaves a lot to be desired,no I am not a snob but excuse me trainers,tank tops and jeans are not smart and casual?most people adhered to this code a lot did not,day time is ok to go casual as you like but dress up for night time.You would not get in the restaurant on board a Fred Olsen ship without a tie.Most people were nice to meet and friendly,but there was a large element that were quite rude and ignorant,pushing in,bumping in to each other,no excuse me or thank you.I have never travelled with a ruder set of individuals in my life.I travelled with Fred Olsen from Newcastle last year and the clientèle were great.Maybe Thomson are getting to cheap?

Drink, not many people ordered drinks,I am not surprised the house wine was undrinkable,and better wines too expensive,better off with the cocktails. Read more
