The Scotish people were so friendly and the Princess tour guides were charming. Although our cruise got off to a rough start with a bilge problem we were able to visit our first port of Guernsey 24 hrs late. Princess decided to omit the port of Liverpool which was too bad for the Beatles fans. I had read the book about Guernsey so wanted to particularly visit this port. I would recommend reading the book, "The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Society" before visiting Guernsey to give a perspective to the visit.

The 24 hr. delay was a problem for people who had prebooked their shore excursions with private tour companies. Princess did refund our money for the missed port but the customers who had prepaid had to cancel or change their excursions.

The weather on the whole trip was really cool so we wore double jackets and layered. We were not able to use our balcony on most of the cruise because of the winds and cool weather. Unfortunately, we missed the port of Edinburgh because of high winds and not being able to tender in. This was really disappointing because we had signed up to see Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Yacht, the highlight of our trip.

Cabin Review

Caribe Balcony Rooms have extended balconies. It was close to the elevator but could be noisy if people were there. Princess balcony rooms have a large closet and good storage. Previously we had a large table on the balcony but that was gone and we just had 2 chairs and a small table.
