Where do I start, first a few days before leaving we found out that we would not be stopping at Nassau in the Bahamas. The cruise line however offered a full refund if you wished not to take the cruise, can't beat that. Anyway we thought we would be staying at Miami for two days turned out to be just one long day, about 8am to midnight.

After all was said and done the trip down and the stops at the ports went fairly well. Coming home would not offer the same peace. The seas turned a little unsettling. Then they got rough, and then it was just crazy. The ship at times slanted heavily from side to side. Plates, glasses, stands, chairs, everything seemed to be falling breaking and crashing. We were trying to stay up and keep our mind off of the bad weather. We spent most of the time in the casino. Finally around 3am it was time to go to the cabin and sleep.

After a few minutes of being tossed around in my bed I was able to fall asleep, it wasn't that the boat stopped shaking and shifting, its just I was that tired. Then it happened while I was deep in sleep. A 70 ft wave crashed into the front of the boat breaking windows on floor 9 and 10. My cabin was just doors away from the front where the damage was done. I awoke to a woman going down the hall banging on doors yelling "get out get out now" I opened my cabin door and in came the water. Since I had just waken I was confused and thought maybe that was it just maybe we were going down. The water kept coming, it was like the movie Titanic. After I got my head straight I called up my family who was staying in a different room. They were not taking on water and they were on a lower floor so I assumed it was local to just our area. I left the room with no life jacket to go and try to find out what was going on. When it was all done we found out that a wave had hit and busted out some windows in the front of the ship. Our room was moved and we headed inland to have the boat repaired at Charleston, South Carolina. We had to stay another day on the ship and arrived home Monday instead of Sunday.
