We were a little concerned but our cruise on NCL's Star was phenomenal. From beginning to end we were treated like family. Pre and post cruise e-mails were a nice touch and made us feel like more than a customer.

The quality of food (except for the desserts)were excellent, the service, top notch. The entertainment, especially the finale, terrific. The ship was clean and up to date. We experienced 7-12 foot seas one day and the ship was very steady with little lateral motion. There were some complaints of room noise, a lot of creaking, avoid rooms next to "crew storerooms". We heard them talking, opening and closing closets, pulling hoses, and dropping buckets at 6:30 am. We fortunately brought earplugs and that helped.

NCL went above and beyond, for example, welcoming passengers back from their port of call with a cool wash cloth and drink of water, a birthday/anniversary party, and many opportunities to meet the officers. Of our previous 6 cruises, the NCL staff were the easiest to communicate with. Read more
