First off we flew into Tampa on Sat June 9th and we stayed at the Holiday Inn Rocky Point. We did the cruise package and what a great plan that was. When we landed at the airport I called them and they were there in under 15 mins to pick us up and take us to the hotel. Once we got to the hotel make sure you sign up to be shuttled over to port on Sunday morning. We had a large group so we had to break up times some at 11 and my family at 12. I would let them know that you all want to go together because the guy told us if he knew we were in the same group we could have all went together. The hotel was beautiful with an outdoor pool overlooking the bay. There were several restaurant's around and they have a van to take you to Walgreens and the liquor store on Sat night to get supplies for the boat. Great place to start off before the cruise.

Next day we were in the lobby of the Hotel at 11:30 and the van was ready for our group. The van driver loaded up all of our bags and shuttled us over to port. The driver was very knowledgeable of the area and showed us different buildings while we were driving. Once we got to the port he made sure that we got curbside because of the children that were with us. He said that kids have been hit before, because people just dont stop. So that was nice of him to make sure we were curbside.

Getting through Carnival to get registered and enter the boat took over an hour to get through the lines. Our friends that we there at 11 made it through in about 30 mins. Carnival people just keep saying sorry sorry for taking to long. Once we got on the ship it was very nice and we were greeted bymany people at the entrance. Our friends had already eaten lunch and were at the pool already. We found our room and put our carry on luggage in there and then went to check out the Lido deck for food. We ate at the Carnival Deli and it had great food (Sub sandwiches). I had know idea yet that outside there was hot dogs, hamburgers etc. After lunch we explored a little bit and changed into our swimsuits and headed to the pool area. I found this area to be very nice and a DJ was playing music. We met up with our friends and had a nice afternoon around the pool. Our Bar Waiter was K-Man he was the Best. Look for him if you are traveling on the Carnival Legend soon. He remembered all of our names and the kids names as well. Very very impressed with K-Man he did an outstanding job. Next onto our room and dining the first night. Our room was 4 floor mid ship and obstructed balcony. Room was spacious and very nice but we are used to camping in a Fifth Wheel camper so to us it seem big. First night we at at the the dining room. We did anytime dining and they seated us as soon as we got there. We only waited one night to be seated and that was surf and turf night. Food in Dining room was O.K. nothing to write home about.
