Cozumel was nice, and getting on and off the ship was very easy. We didn't do one of the carnival excursions but hired a taxi to take us around the island. The back side of the island was very beautiful and secluded. If you visit the farmer's market, be ready for the high pressure sales pitch. Our taxi driver took us to this little place just outside of town where we could buy cool pottery for cheap from the artist himself. definitely worth a trip out there if your interested in pottery for souvenirs.

Cozumel

I've seen many reviews on here where people have been very unhappy with the port in belize. Many of the comments say the port is unpleasant and run-down. We didn't spend hardly any time at the port itself since our excursion left as soon as the tender arrived, but we didn't notice anything bad (just stay away from those fake coach bags LOL). We did the Altun Ha Mayan ruins and River Wallace excursion. The ruins were about an hour away from the port and the last leg of the road is very bumpy. The ruins were actually much better than i expected. It was very cool to see something built so long ago. After the ruins, they drive you to the black orchid resort where you can grab a snack or just sit and relax until the River Wallace boat ride begins. The boat ride is a great chance to see wildlife. We saw wild monkeys, birds, crocodiles, bats, manatees, iguanas, & dolphins. The boat drops you off back at the cruise terminal which is very convenient. The only bad thing about belize is that we had to wait out in the hot sun for the tender back to the ship.

Belize City

We docked in Roatan at Mahogany Bay. The cruise terminal area was beautiful and looked brand new. We did the Zip Line Canopy tour and Tabyana Beach. The Zip line was so much fun! Although I wouldn't recommend it for those who are afraid of heights. We took a bus from the terminal on a 45 minute ride to the top of a mountain. You then zig-zag your way down to the bottom on 10 different traverses. One warning, be sure your leather gloves are not worn thin; those cables get hot with friction!!! After making our way to the bottom, we boarded the bus again for a 15 minute ride to Tabyana beach. Tabyana beach is absolutely beautiful!! I wish we would have had more time there, but the ships sails early from Roatan in order to make it to Grand Cayman on time the next day. Be sure to plan accordingly because you can run out of time fast.

Roatan

Grand Cayman is another tender port like Belize, but much shorter. We didn't do a carnival excursion, but took a taxi to 7 mile beach instead for $5pp. The beach was beautiful and the water is crystal clear. I saw many people snorkeling off the beach instead of buying one of the expensive shore excursions. The beach was huge and not at all crowded, although we were the only ship there that day. We took a bus back to the pier for a dew dollars per person and again waited out in the hot sun for the tender. At least the ride back is short...

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Room 5161 is an obstructed view balcony. The room is the standard size with 2 twins that can be put together to form a queen(maybe?). This room also has the sofa bed as well as the upper berth that folds down from the ceiling above the couch. It has the standard 3 closets, which is plenty of room even for four people. Even our largest suitcases slid easily under the bed. The bathroom is cramped but adequate. One problem we noticed is that water tends to stand in the shower; hopefully that is not a persistent problem. The balcony was very nice but small of course. It was perfect for our needs of just being able to get some air or watch the waves. The cabin is not particularly close to the elevators but is very quiet with very little traffic passing by. We never heard any noise from the crew or passengers in the adjacent rooms.

One thing that was different on this ship from our other cruise was the schedule of the shows.The other was also very friendly and would always strike up a conversation with me if i saw him somewhere else on the ship or in port.
