I went on Carnival Ecstasy leaving out of Port Canaveral on June 4-9, porting at Nassau, Bahamas, Freeport, Bahamas and Key West. I went with my parents and sister (from Georgia) and we met up with my Uncle, Aunt, Cousin and her son (from Kentucky) to celebrate several birthdays in my family. My Aunt and Uncle went on Ecstasy for their honeymoon 11 years ago so they were excited to go again. I was just happy to be taking a vacation and overall it was very enjoyable and I don't have any major complaints.

However, I pride myself on being an excellent vacation planner and I always read tons of reviews before booking any trips. I was at the mercy of my family and their decisions on this cruise and I personally would have chosen differently. I read the reviews for Ecstasy after the cruise was booked and by that time the trip was out of my hands. If I had read even one review I would have chosen another ship and cruise line for that matter. But I tried to go into this with an open mind. I didn't say a peep about any of the bad reviews I had read and I actually tried to forget about it, but when I experienced the bland food and the subpar entertainment, I just tried to make the best out of it. This review is not meant to bash the ship or anyone already booked, but I feel it is my duty to give an honest, non-bias, accurate review b/c I always look for them myself.

We stayed at the LaQuinta Inn in Cape Canaveral b/c of all the near by hotels they had the best deal for parking and a shuttle to the ship. The hotel was just average, but the best value.

Cabin Review

Great closet space and decently roomy cabin for 4 people.
