Norwegian Gem Cruise Review by twobacks
- Sail Date: May 2012
- Destination: Bahamas
- Cabin Type: Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony
The food in the regular restaurants was good. We also dined in two of the specialty restaurants; Le Bistro, and Moderno. The food was excellent in these restaurants with Moderno being expecially good.
The ports included Nassau where took a snorkeling cruise and shopped, Stirrup Cay, more snorkeling, and Port Canaveral where we saw the Kennedy Space Center.
While on the ship we took the ships tour where we got to see the innerds of the ship including the galley, laundry, food storage, back stage in the theater, and the pilots area. The Captain actually took us inside the area so we could see the controls up close.
We enjoyed the cruise very much. By the way we are Platinum Latitudes (frequent cruiser) members with NCL. This is our 12th cruise on NCL.

Kennedy Space CenterThe Kennedy Space Center was very interesting. We did the 'Up Close' tour which took us to additional areas, such as the launch platforms.View All 153 Kennedy Space Center Reviews
