Carnival Splendor Cruise Review by Llsg
- Sail Date: June 2012
- Destination: Mexican Riviera
- Cabin Type: Aft-View Extended Balcony
The first and last sailing days out of and back into Long Beach were very chilly. Being outdoors wasn't really an option. Be sure to pack a light jacket. There were things going on inside, but much of it costs extra. There's no charge for your photo to be taken, but they were $29 per 8x10 to purchase. There are lots of spots to take your own pic and have it printed when you get home.
It seems that the daily itineraries are scheduled around having the early dinner time. We like the later one so you can enjoy the pool longer before having to clean up. You can always opt out of the dining room 1 or 2 nights and eat the buffet. There's no limit to what you can order off the dinner menu, so try everything you want. The chocolate melting cake is wonderful! So are the paninis made out by the pool.
We bought a snorkeling excursion for Cabo. Big mistake. The water was just above 60*.
The Las Caletas Beach Hideaway was well worth it. You get a 45 min boat ride out, lunch, beach, swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. Beautiful for water activities or relaxing!

Cabo San LucasTenders used here, so a bit of a hassle. Easy walk to shopping. Water was way to cold for any water activities.View All 1,156 Cabo San Lucas Cruise Port Reviews
