We are a couple in our early sixties traveling with friends. This was our tenth cruise, previous cruises have been on Celebrity, Carnival, Uniworld and Azamara. We were looking for a small ship without crowds of people with long lineups and overcrowded excursions. Our travel agent recommended Silversea and so we booked the 11 night British Isles cruise leaving from Southampton on the Silver Whisper.

This was the most relaxing and enjoyable cruise we have ever taken and we will never go back to large ship cruising again. There were never any lineups for anything, shore excursions with Silversea were in small groups, never more than 24 people and were well organized with a Silversea staff member on every excursion which was helpful to sort out any problems.

The staff of the ship were friendly but always professional and we never felt like they were being pushy or looking for extra tips as on other cruise lines.
