Pacific jewel

Sail Date: May 2012
Destination: South Pacific
Embarkation: Sydney (Australia)
If you really like to dress for dinner every night this is probably not the cruise for you it is definitely more casual than other cruises we have been on.
This cruise was more on the relaxed fun and friendly theme.

Embarkation was good and also disembarkation at all ports good.
Our cabin was probably a bit tired furniture wise but loads of wardrobe and drawers and lovely comfy bed the cabin steward was very good and every night fancy animals the monkey habging in the bathroom nearly gave me heart attack.
The buffet was good and a good selection of food.
The meat pies which came out at the end of lunchtime were to die for.
The evening meals in The waterfront were restaurant were great and a varied choice our waiter Ross was fantastic as we always wanted to go see the show he made sure we did and always had a smile.
The shows were excellent would have loved to see some of them again,
The cruise director Willie was brilliant and all his gang.
Take More cardigans or jackets cos aircon a bit cold in some places especially the connexions bar but if you dance you will be ok.
I do think some people dont know the meaning of smart casual and were quite scruffy.
Had a great cruise highly recommended but definitely relaxed style.
Ports of call good except Luganville nothing much there but probably unfair as the weather wasnt quite as good and we didnt go swimming or snorkelling but people that did were back on the boat before we got off. Less

Cabin review: 5156

5156 window.Good position still got confused which way to go on the last day. Same floor as reception. Plenty of hanging space and plenty of drawers. Steward good. Needs a bit of renovating a bit old fashioned but clean and comfy.
