My husband I are first-time cruisers and we had a great week on the Norwegian Dawn. We traveled from Atlantic Canada on a motor coach with 35 other vacationers and our tour guides. We had a fun drive down to Boston and stayed the night before our departure at the Holiday Inn Express in Milford Mass, a very nice hotel. The next morning we toured Boston and then arrived at the Black Falcon Terminal around 1:00 pm.

Embarkation - This went very smoothly, approximately 45 minutes until we were boarding the ship. I had packed a dozen Pepsi and bottled water in my suitcase, no problems, also I had two bottles of wine in my carry-on. They were placed on a side table in the security area, I gave my room number to cover the corkage fee of $15 each. A sticker was placed on them and they went back into my case to be enjoyed in our cabin later!! We went right to our lovely balcony cabin, watched the luggage and supplies being loaded for a while then went to the Venetian dining room for lunch. There was a sail away party on the pool deck with a great BBQ and entertainment.

Cabin - We had a balcony cabin just slightly aft of mid-ship on the tenth floor. It was great to be able to get fresh air and sit outside. King size bed, small couch(pull-out), coffee table, desk and make-up area with stool, mirror and blow dryer. Lots of storage space for clothes, and a safe and mini fridge. The bathroom was very spacious. The room was kept very clean and tidy by our steward, who made cute towel animals every evening.
