We very much enjoyed our Holland America cruise to the Western Mediterranean last fall. We have been on a Mediterranean cruise with Norwegian about 2 years prior but this was the best cruise ever.

We took the ship excursions in each port except Tunis and Monte Carlo and haven't a complaint about any. The guides were knowledgeable, courteous, and spoke excellent English. We enjoyed all ports except Tunis. We opted to not go into Tunis due to the political climate at the time. But instead chose to have a relaxing day on ship.

Our cabin was always clean, the laundry was well done, the food was delicious and presented impeccably. We didn't opt for any special restaurant. The Lido was good for breakfast or lunch. We never had long lines. The main dining with open seating worked just fine for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Read more
