We were warmly welcomed in Nuremberg and taken to the beautiful Prestige ship. Our room was just lovely and there was a tray of Christmas cookies and candies. The ship was very nicely appointed and the staff was friendly. It started out real well but we soon learned that the Danube was very low and that we would travel to certain point then have to get off that ship and get on the Legend to continue. Apparently there was a part of the Danube that was impassible. Then, from Vienna we had to travel by bus to Budapest cutting short our time there. We did make all the Christmas markets that were promised.

To make up for the inconvenience, we were treated to a beautiful musical show in Vienna that would normally cost around $80 and also we were put up in a 5 star hotel in Budapest for one night. Then, when we got home, we got vouchers to spend on future cruises.

This did not discourage us from booking another cruise and we are going from Moscow to St. Petersburg this July. The Christmas Markets are fabulous!!
