  3. Viking Neptune
My wife and I and two other couples arrived at the Lyon airport, where we were met by reps. from Viking. Stephanie was the first guide to talk to us, and she set us up for what was to be "The Trip of a Lifetime". Her smile and genuine empathy were two signs that our cruise was going to be unforgettable. A short(1 hr.) bus trip took us to the boat at Chalon-sur-Saone, where our luxurious cruise ship awaited. We were told to just leave our luggage on the dock(it was quickly taken care of and brought to our cabin) and proceed to the "Welcome" in the lounge. The other guides, and many of the crew were there to meet and greet the new arrivals(us!). There were 150 tourists on board, and each one was treated like a member of the family. The details of the fine accommodations, excellent food, unbelievable service in the dining room and lounge, quiet engines, walking tours, wine-tastings(plural!) and new, exciting, daily experiences are too numerous to list. Each day was as full as we wanted, or as relaxing as we needed. The days passed almost too quickly, and we were shocked when the cruise ended. We not only had a good time, we were so "blown away" by all the events on the cruise that we have signed up for another this year on the Seine. Can it be better? - I'll let you know!

Paradise!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Stateroom with Large Window
Cabin A 315
Great use of space! Comfortable and quiet. The shower/bathroom was small, but well arranged. The bed was huge and comfortable.
